General fitness back to top

From the new participant to the experienced exercise nut looking for some new ideas, a trainer can guide you through many different workouts.
Fitness goals include learning the basics of exercising, how to develop various muscle groups, training for your favourite sports like hiking or golf, core training… the list is endless!
Is your cholesterol getting too high? How about your blood pressure? Noticing more aches and pains, or that your range of motion isn’t as good as it used to be? Exercise can help with these, as well as relieve some symptoms caused by arthritis, fibromyalgia, and many others.

Wedding back to top

Whether your wedding is next year or in a couple of months, there's a program for you!
If you're looking at a long-term (6 months or more) plan, then we can start by getting you into the shape you want to be in before shopping for your wedding dress, right through to getting a bikini-ready body for your honeymoon.

Only have a couple of months? That's ok - a shorter program can still help tone and define the body parts you want to show on your wedding day (strapless gown anyone?) and also help you look even better walking down the aisle, thanks to your stronger core and beautifully toned muscles. It's not too late to start! Contact us.

Special Events
Examples include: high school reunions, group vacations, graduation, a milestone birthday, and any upcoming event where there will be lots of photos taken!

Or maybe… after watching all of those makeover shows on TV you’re ready to give it a try.

Yoga/Flexibility back to top
We offer an exercise-based style of yoga, focused more on postures than meditation, though you will still get the stress-reducing benefits of yoga through proper breathing techniques. We can design a program that incorporates yoga alongside your workout, or spend the whole hour stretching and strengthening. Choose one-on-one yoga, or small groups (2-3 of your friends) so we can focus on the practice of yoga with attention to proper alignment.

  • If you’ve always wanted to try yoga but were intimidated by big classes, then having a private session in your home is a great start.
  • If you’re not sure that yoga is for you but still want to try, we can start by adding 15 minutes on to the end of your regular workout. You can then decide if you want to have a whole session in the future or keep it as a fun way to do your stretches.

Prenatal and Postpartum back to top
We can design a program that helps you prepare your body for motherhood and/or get you back into shape after giving birth.

  • If you are planning to have a baby, or are in the midst of pregnancy, we'll work with you to develop a customized and safe program that works best for you. Studies show that women who exercise during pregnancy have fewer symptoms such as nausea and fatigue, as well as shorter, less complicated deliveries.
  • If you just had a baby, congratulations! Now you'll need your energy more than you ever did. We’ll develop a plan to help you regain your pre-baby shape as well as increase your energy in a safe and achievable way. Learning to strengthen the right muscles can help prevent back pain, and finding time to take care of yourself right now is important not only for you but also your family.

Fitness Assessments back to top

What is your current fitness level? A fitness assessment is a great way to find out. During a fitness assessment we determine:

  • Cardio, strength, endurance and flexibility levels, all with simple tests we can do at home.
  • Body composition, through girth measurements and skin fold testing.
